As of Friday, June 28, 2024, the Woodbury County Conservation Parks are open as follows. Please be aware that some roads leading to our parks may be closed due to the ongoing floods and do not drive around barricades. Check your route before traveling.

Little Sioux Park, Correctionville, IA – The cabins, shelter, and beach are open as normal for rentals and usage. Bellamy campground and Riverside campground are both open as normal. The Union Bridge Trail between the park and Correctionville is closed indefinitely due to flood damages.  – To access Little Sioux Park from Hwy 20, travel 3 ½ miles west of Correctionville, IA to Minnesota Avenue/L25 and head south to 160th Street/D22. Follow this east to Hwy 31 and head south to the park.

Southwood Conservation Area, Smithland, IA – Normal operations. Campground and cabins are open, as well as trails and ponds for fishing.

Snyder Bend Park, Salix, IA – The cabins and boat ramp are closed until further notice. The campground is open for camping.

Brown’s Lake/Bigelow Park, Salix, IA – Normal operations. Campground, beach and shelter are open.
